Pair the balloon with a walking safari
The single most common question we get: what do I do on the days I'm not flying? The answer is smaller, slower, and involves following tracks.
A balloon flight is a vertical experience. You see scale, pattern, geography — the shape of the Mara from the top down. But the Mara at eye level is an entirely different place, and most of it can only be accessed on foot.
We recommend a guided walking safari on the day before your balloon flight, not after. Here's why: the walking safari teaches you to see the land slowly, to read tracks, to understand what the bush sounds like at rest. Then, on the balloon, that same land becomes legible.
