West of the Mara River, the Triangle rises toward the Siria (Oloololo) Escarpment — a 300-metre wall that drops sharply to the plains below. From a balloon, the escarpment defines the horizon for the entire flight; on a clear morning you can read the topography of the whole western reserve in one look. The Mara Conservancy's anti-poaching presence is visible in the road network and ranger outposts your pilot will point out. Wildlife may appear; the terrain — river, plains, escarpment — is the guaranteed view.
- 01Direct contribution to a non-profit anti-poaching budget
- 02The Siria Escarpment — terrain, not luck — defines the horizon
- 03Lower visitor density than the central reserve
- 04Bush breakfast inside the Triangle, crew transfer back to camp
